Hi everyone! I've sent in my application for Fall 2012 at LAHC, and already took my Teas 5 for another school but I haven't heard anything yet if I've cleared the first lottery. Two of my friends are in their first semester at LAHC and both said it took a long time to hear back regarding admission.
Anyone hear anything yet?
you're so lucky MMorisawa,
Im listed as alternate, and if i do not hear from them after June 26th, it means I'm out. I do not know how many alternates there are, and how do they choose alternate ... I applied to couples of school, still waiting to hear from them GLENDALE, LA SOUTHWEST next week. I got accepted into LA TRADE-TECH for Fall 2012. I'm happy, but my heart belongs to LAHC. I'm hoping, some accepted ppl will decline their slots since CSULA, CSULB just sent out accepted emails 2-3 days before LAHC did.
Where else did you apply?
Congratulations MMorisawa! The lottery system really is trying. This is my second semester trying to apply for nursing school...for Spring 2012 I tried for Allied (LA County) and didn't make it, but didn't care anyway as it's way too far for me. I really want to go to Harbor so I am willing to wait, but I'm hoping I get pulled off the wait list. My friends in the program tell me that alternates get in all the time, so I will remain confident that it's my semester this time
Hi MMorisawa,
I did accept the offer from LAHC but I still have other schools to hear from. I'm leaning towards LAHC since they do clinicals at a county hospital, which I feel would better prepare me. But I'm also waiting to hear from LA County's School of Nursing and if I get in, I'll have a lot to consider. They cost a lot more than Harbor but they also have a great program and they're closer to me. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
I'm so glad you got accepted. It must have been tough to apply for 3 years!
Thank you willowita! Ur such a sweet person... I know at this time. I can't be picky... But if I go to Lattc. Ima move to LA, which is far and expensive there. I cannt imagine that I Have to drive and stuck in the traffic 1or 2 hours .... Times is precious, eexpecially, when being in nursing program. I better relocate... So forget about Glendale... My priority now are lahc, lasw. But if I do not have luck, I still have one school to go to...hnguyen509,I think it's great news that you can start this fall at LA Trade Tech! No matter what happens with GCC or LASW, you will still start your path towards being an RN! It's awesome
