Orientation was awesome. LAHC has got it together and they were super helpful and informative. Their NCLEX pass rate is 92% for the last 5 years... I'm excited

some people didn't show, but the class is already huge. I'm not sure how many have to decline in order for them to start calling alternates. The class is already up to 60+ people that showed up for orientation.

I just found the form for what all we need for a physical on the LAHC site - there's a link for it under the College Nurse that states specifically what you need. I'm glad I found it - this way I can at least get the majority of this taken care of before my insurance runs out at the end of the month. It looks like the school nurse will review any of our forms as well before we turn them in to make sure we have everything as it should be. I'm getting excited for orientation :) See you there.

hey guys, I just made my appointment for my physical, but it's before the orientation. My Dr said I could just drop the form off after since they're super booked. Does anybody know what vaccinations/tiders we need to have? I want to make sure I get that all taken care of while I'm there.

I'm getting more excited than scared willoweta... I am kind of nervous that I won't remember all my prereq info. I keep telling myself I need to brush up on A&P, but then I have to start organizing for the move too.

I haven't taken Pharmacology or Math of Drugs and Solutions. Are those listed under nursing or somewhere else in the class schedule? Do we have to take those in the first semester?

I live in the bay area, south of S.F. in Pacifica. I'm trying to move somewhere close to the ocean like San Pedro since I live near the ocean now. I'm looking forward to the hot weather

I feel you about moving - I am moving 400 miles from northern CA to go to school at LAHC. But, it will be worth it, and it will be a lot warmer!

I have just been accepted to the 2 year RN program at Los Angeles Harbor College. I'll be moving with my family from Northern CA to SoCal, so I need to get organized fast! I am trying to get some idea of what the schedule will be like for school so that I can arrange child care, etc. for my daughter. If anybody has any info, please let me know. Thanks in advance

Hi willowita and MishBezer! I just received my acceptance to LAHC yesterday, as well! this is my 3rd year applying to nursing schools. The lottery system is very trying. I am so excited! Have you responded to Toni's email yet to accept? I was so excited that I resonded right away.
