Hi there,

Has anyone applied to LAC School of Nursing for Fall 2019? I thought I would get this post going so we can stay informed and help each other through this waiting process! What are your points that you calculated?

Is there anyone here that is looking into student loans? I am planning to do the payback option but need a loan for my bills.

I cannot find any of the required text books [for 1st semester] on usctext.com

This is where we are supposed to purchase them, correct?

Has anybody else tried to purchase the texts yet?

Also, will we be earning a fire card during orientation?

(I already have BLS, but will we be earning that as well?)

I emailed Sarah and she responded stating the link for the e-text book orders is not ready yet and that once the vendor finalizes the link she will send it to everyone. The text- vendor will also have a speaking session during orientation week.

We will also be getting our fire cards during orientation.

Do we have to attend each day of orientation week? Or only one of the days M-W and then sign up for the 4hr training Th/F?

If there are any current students reading this; could you inform us on what exactly we will be doing?
