Los Angeles County School of Nursing

Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?

Hi all -

On the background check forms, what do I put for start date? I'm in class 2014-I. Thanks!

And thanks for the add to the FB group. Looking forward to chatting with you all there too :)

I just put the first day of orientation. August 7th.

As an FYI- you might want to make a change to the FB group to be named " LA County College of Nursing & Allied Health Class of 2014-I." The reason is because previous classes already exist and set themselves apart with adding "I or II" to distinguish which graduating class they are a part of within that given year. Just a suggestion. Good luck with the school year! :)

** ohhh and make the group page private!! That is a much needed tip! ;)

I agree about making the group page private. I viewed the group with my other Facebook profile just to check. And yep - the conversations are opened to the public eyes.

Kk, out of your requests, I changed the name of the group and the privacy setting. However, someone in the group told me how when he later checked on the group, he couldn't find it at all or view any of the comments. So, I changed the privacy setting to the second setting out of the three so only group members can see the group and comments. Unfortunately, those wanting to join will have to friend someone who's in the group in order to be added to the group. :) sorry for all the confusion. If you want, I can switch it back to being open temporarily so that other's can join and then switch it again. :)

hey guys, just a quick question, does anyone know whats the best way to get to county transportation wise? i live near pierce college (woodland hills)

i dont have a car at the moment so transportation is a bit of a hassle for me.

from what ive checked online, i would have to take 4 buses.....

McFrito,

The only thing that I could think of is still lengthy and more costly than the bus. But you could take the Metrolink from Northridge to Union Station and take a bus from there. I don't know if that would be any more convenient than 4 buses.

Are you applying for Spring 2013? Maybe you can get a car by then? Even an old clunker.

hey willowita, i looked into it and yes it would be very expensive. :(

yes im thinking about applying but the whole transportation thing is whats keeping me from applying.

it doesnt hurt to try though and like you said, maybe i can get a car by then.

Congrats to the new applicants!

I just graduated from county class of 2012-I. It was a long 2 years, with a LOT of work, but definitely worth it. Just took my boards and as of today I am officially an RN! Just stay strong and keep your eyes on the goal of finishing!
