Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?

I will be applying in November as well for the accelerated program for LVN's. There are no waiting list and getting in depends on the amount of points you have. Hoping that we both get in.

Hi everyone. I applied to this School for Spring 2012 and today i recieved a mail from them asking me to come for the TEAS test on Sept 30. Any other Spring applicants should kindly come online and let's rub minds together. To students that are already in this program we need your inputs in regard to how to prepare for the TEAS test. I have straight A's in all my prereq but am afraid of the TEAS. I need the 20 pt for the TEAS. I have the ATI book for Version 5 can anybody recommend books that can also be helpful for this test?

Your advice and input will be highly appreciated. Fellow applicants lets come here and share ideas like the previous applicants did here. Let's put life into this thread again.

Thanks

I've applied for LA County Spring as well, but I have already taken the TEAS. I didn't buy any books, because there are a ton of online practice tests that were very useful, and I scored very well on the TEAS. Just Google "Free TEAS Practice Test" and you will get a lot of help. The only problem with County is that they probably won't let us know until December about admissions offers.

Interested in the LVN to RN program. Anyone know if there is any way around the "LA County" residency requirement? Probably not.....:crying2:

Ms. Kitty.... No, there is no way around the LA County residency requirement...they are very strict about that. You must have permanent residency in LA County ONE YEAR immediately prior to admission and be able to prove it.

Thanks for your reply.

Do u think i have a good chance to get in with 90 pts all things being equal?

I need to get into this program badly or in January I will be in Marine's Boot Camp preparing to go to war lol. Got into West Coast Uni in January but couldn't go cos the burden of the huge loan will be too much on me.

Again do u have an idea of how the Tuition Agreement Contract works? If i pass the board exam will the County give me a job immediately or i still need to go through some rigorous application process?????

90 is a competitive score, but you never know, so I hope you applied to more than one school! I applied to six!

I couldn't apply to more schoolls because they all kept asking about experience in the field which i don't have. I'm gonna apply to Pierce and Rio Hondo Colleges. But am really counting on County. If not then i will go to the military and come back to go to a private school.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! I'm actually hoping for CSULB, because I'm here in Long Beach, and I would prefer a BSN program to an ADN program. Moving can be such a pain in the butt...lol...However I'd be honored to be accepted to County... I hear nothing but phenomenal things about the program.

I just got my acceptance letter to take the TEAS V test and I was so excited but after reading up on posts and how competitive it is and how its based on points, i'm a bit discouraged but hoping for the best! I take the test on Oct. &

I was accepted last semester with a score of 83, but declined my seat to attend a different school. You should be in for sure with a score of 90.
