Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?

Does anybody know whether we need to attend a meeting in person if we are selected?

Because I'm going out of country and coming back on July.

When I called the school, they say they will mail out the letter next week.

there will be a postcard in it so we can mail back to them to verify intent to attend.

To answer your question, i do think if you were to get accepted you have an orientation before school starts but i dont think its until way later like much closer to when school actually starts like maybe august.. not sure tho.. you should just call county and ask again and tell them your situation. If you do call and find out let us know im sure theres others wondering the same thing!

the reason is that I got accepted to southwest college and they are having a meeting on this thursday and i'm leaving this wednesday. when i called the college, if i can't make to the meeting then i lose the spot.

i told them about my situation but it was no use.

when i look at the county schedule i noticed they are having an orientation on august also.

i hope nothing happens.

hi bria,

is you "going out of the country" urgent? most schools are very strict when it comes to the nursing orientation attendance. i was accepted to two schools and both of them require that you attend the orientation, otherwise you lose the spot and that is given to the alternates.

sooo....

i called today and they said they had more letters than they accepted and they said theyre not sending anything out till next week.. who knows! these last two weeks are horrible!

wow that sucks... i don't get why they keep delaying the acceptance/denial letters. i'm still looking at my mailbox for the letters just to see if i would have gotten in or not. i'll let you know though!

Hi Iliana,

I also applied for Fall 2010 but have not yet received an acceptance/rejection letter yet. May I ask how you found out about the cutoff? Did you get a letter already? I just called and the person who answered didn't give me any info except that they are in the process of sending out the letters. I too, have been anxiously awaiting to hear back. In the meantime, Good luck! I hope we hear something soon. Take care. :)

I actually found out from another thread here on allnurses. Someone stated that they received their letter and that in the letter it stated that the cut off was 81. i hope it is.
