Los Angeles County of Nursing - Fall 2014

This is for those of us that will be applying to LA county college of nursing and allied health's fall 2014 semester. I will be submitting my application for the basic RN program tomorrow... Yayyy!!! I am beyond excited, I can't believe this time has finally come!

Did u apply for other schools?

no. I have to work on cleaning my overall GPA up this semester before I apply to more schools, just to give me a boost in points. I'm working as an LVN now so if I don't get in this semester. I'm applying next semester but for the LVN to RN program at County, so I might still see some of you.

What was last years cut off score?

i think it was 82 but I am seeing that a few people got in with 79-78 points. So if your close to that you still have a chance

You should be receiving your letter by Tuesday. As long as you have calculated your points correctly, you will get in. You and I have the same amount of points - 78

When I drove over there last week, I asked this lady what was point cut off last semester, she said 78! So you have a great chance! Also , I'm sure that some students will reject their spots and they will send letters or give a call last minute.

Dominohwang, I think if LAVC will would take me, I would go over there, due to their cheaper program. But I am so happy that County accepted me and I can be sure that no matter what I will be nursing student this fall)

I just checked my mail; I got the letter :-). I have been accepted. Even though I am going with LACC, it's nice to get that acceptance letter ;). According to my calculations I had 81 pts since they didn't consider two of my classes from Europe. Good luck to everybody still waiting and hoping. Hang in there!

Just opened my letter!!! I'm in too!!!!!! So happy and feel so blessed. My Gma and I hugged and cried. And to think this is only the beginning. Loving this feeling right now! I hope the rest get their letter today too!!!!
