Los Angeles County of Nursing - Fall 2014

This is for those of us that will be applying to LA county college of nursing and allied health's fall 2014 semester. I will be submitting my application for the basic RN program tomorrow... Yayyy!!! I am beyond excited, I can't believe this time has finally come!

I agree with excited. Though it would be nice to hear from them soon, I'm not really expecting anything any time soon...

I did a quick search on last year's thread (Fall 2013) and the first person to receive an acceptance letter was on June 8th.

For Fall 2012, the first person to receive an acceptance call was on June 13th and first person to receive an acceptance letter was June 15th.

For Fall 2010, the first person to receive an acceptance letter was June 25th.

As you can see, they don't stick to timelines. Just relax (haha) and keep waiting. :)

HAHA tell me about it! I'm waiting to hear back from CSU Bakersfield and we don't hear back till July either.

Guess County is better :p

Good morning girls and guys! I went to County today. First, I wanted to change my name on my application; second to confirm my points ; third, ask when do they plan to send our letters.

I filled out a form for name/address change. This lady asked my name and asked if I calculated my points myself. I said that I DID calculated, but I just wanted to know if they calculated the same. She asked: " how many did u get?" I said 90. She smiled and said, that I calculated correct, they have 90 and they have all my transcripts as well. Than she said that we start to send letters this week and by Monday we will start getting it) Also I met sweet girl from 4th semester. I will let u know details after work. You, guys, have a great day !!

****HEADS UP GUYS!!!**** I just got a call from ---------------- at County. They wanted to know if I was still interested in the program. I advised her I accepted a seat at another college. She asked why....I did politely tell her that County was my first choice, but unfortunately due to their late acceptance notifications, I have decided to go to a different school. So the good news is, they are CALLING and SENDING notifications this week for sure! WOOOO HOOOO. Good luck to you all....

Although you have already accepted another program, I know it must be awesome to know that you would've had County as a choice.

Combining Smylee and Allabout kitties: Thank you!!!! Yes, I am happy to know that I got accepted. I am firm with my decision to stick with COC. For a second while on the phone, I felt like the girl at the alter about to get married to COC and County comes along and says "don't marry COC, Marry County". AHHAHAHA. But I am at peace with it. I do not know if they are calling everyone or not. Maybe they only called me because my teas letter got lost in the mail so many times, they didn't know if I would actually receive any mail from them? LOL. Keep your phones on and KEEP ME POSTED!!!!

LOL! Well I'm glad you are at peace with your decision! Like I've said many times, I wish you nothing but the best regardless of what road you decide to take....

I will keep my phone on and keep all of you posted once (if) I hear anything.

I must say, it makes me wonder if 82 points was the cutoff....
