Hello! I decided to open up this new thread for those applying for Spring 2014 entry at LA County College of Nursing. I recently took my TEAS for the first time, and I'm so relieved that it is over! Now the wait... A bit nervous about the whole process, but I am very hopeful. Anyway, just wondering who else out there has applied!

For those that attended the pre-registration yesterday, I was reviewing the paper work we were given. On dove apparel uniforms, it's asking for the start of or clinical date. Do any of you know when the Olive View-UCLA site starts?

I put mine for the earliest one. I remember on the acceptance letter it says we have to have our order in by Dec 10.

Just curious to see if any of you attending County this Spring have received an email yet regarding the instructions for the live scan, etc.?

I'm actually wondering the same! I called this morning and they said that we should be getting them by mail not email. And that the mails are still being mailed out. My understanding was it would be sent as an email.. not as a mail.

Besides the livescan, what else are we supposed to be doing? The health clearance and ordering our uniforms yes?

Is anyone else scheduled to do their live scan tomorrow? the 3rd? If so, does anyone know the exact location where they'll be doing the live scan? I called last week to schedule my live scan and lost the directions.

Did you receive the letter already? Or did you just call the school to set up your appt?

@slicksGIRL I have not received any notifications yet re: the live scan did you? I was told last Wednesday afternoon that I would be notified sometime this week.

@shk69816 did you get a letter or email instructions? I was still under the impression that we'd get emails instead of letters.

@goldenheart10 I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they are sending emails/letters based on clinical sites??? I'm not sure. I'll probably call again if I don't get anything by the end of the day.

I called this morning and they said that those who are doing their clinicals w LAC USC are doing the livescan w them. But for the Olive view students it's a separate process. She said that she will follow up w the contact person (since she hasn't gotten back to her) and she will send us an email w instructions.

I received an email today regarding the instructions and information for the live scan. My clinical site is Olive View-UCLA in case anyone is wondering. My question is, do we have our own primary care physician fill out these forms or can we have it done through county?
