Looking for simple flash card template for my computer

Does anyone have a reliable, easy to use flashcard template to use on a computer?

I have read through the previous threads and while most provide web links, I am really not interested in buying (and yes the 30 trial of many are not free) just downloading a simple template.

I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who used Microsoft word to create 4 x 6 flash cards. I did look through the help in word but didn't find anything.

Thanks,

Opalm,

I just learned to do this in word 2000. Type out your info in Word. Click on File, go to page set-up on the second tab is paper type. Under this you can make 4x6 flash cards. I use it all the time. You can also custumize it. I also use 5x8 size. On the first tab, I change everything to 0 and let the program adjust it to the card.

One other thing I learned. On the print command under File, click on the one that says pages and put the ODD numbered pages in first, then run the cards back through using the EVEN numbers. That way you have the word on one side of your card and the answer on the other.

If anyone knows how to do this in an easier way, please let me know. Right now, this is the only way I know how to make flash cards in Word.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I had to tweak this just a bit but it is working wonderfully. There is just something for me that sticks better if I type the information as opposed to writing by hand. I also learned my printer (hp photosmart) will allow me to acutally insert the 4x6 cards into a special tray that avoids the card feeding sideways. (it is actually for photo paper but index cards are about the same thickness).

Thanks so much, this is so nice!!
