I'm looking for practice test questions. These questions need to be broken down by subject. I'm looking for questions that would pertain to 1st and 2nd semester RN students. NCLEX questions are little too advanced
My study group uses a book, "Fundamentals of Success". This book has been valuable for our study group to prepare us for tests. The book has sample questions by subject. In addition, it explains why the correct answer is correct and explains why the wrong answers are wrong. This helps to get a grip on the critical thinking aspect of the subject matter.
I'm looking for websites and books with practice questions. If you know of any or have any good advice, let me know.
Peace

There is a book called "Fundamentals Success" available on Amazon (and probably any bookstore) for nursing that has all different sections and has helped me and my classmates tremendously!
Good luck.

I used Saunders NCLEX review (giant blue book). It is broken down into areas and while a lot of the information is "advanced" for 1st year students, it does have some basic care information in each area that 1st year students should know.
It also has a Fundemental section both in the book and on the CD which has some great questions which are not too advanced for 1st year students.
I've used the Saunders book since I started school and I love it.

I am w/you! I did the same thing & it has worked great. I was ahead of the game & understood how to answer the questions using Saunders. For me it was the perfect way to study. Good luck:)

I'm studying for the nclex-pn also. I went to my local library that had some practice books with TONS of questions. I also signed up for www.kaplan.com It's $75 for 1000 questions. The questions are hard so I find it well worth it.

i understand that you are looking for free stuff, but
saunders comprehensive review for the nclex-rn examination, 3rd edition, by linda anne silvestri comes with a cd that has over 4,000 nclex style questions on it in addition to the ones in the book. the book gives you the strategy on how to answer the various types of questions as well as lots of review information. you pull up questions on the cd first by four categories which are then further broken down: level of cognitive ability (comprehension, analysis and application), client needs (safe effective care environment, health promotion and maintenance, psychosocial integrity and physiological integrity), integrated processes (caring, communication, documentation, teaching and the nursing process), and content area (21 different nursing practice areas). in the study mode, it gives you the reason and rationale for the correct answer to each question. after you take and pass the nclex donate the disc to your school.
here are links that will have free questions on them or links to them:
