thanks for all the help
I really don't care about the cost. It is worth being happy and not stressed out as I call the "Baker experience." Plus, you can be done in 11 months.
I have never been one to compete and I don't like the drama at BAKER. I care for people and the way I have seen these Baker students in action shows me that I wouldn't let them anywhere near me if I was in a hospital or my worst enemy(which I don't have one but if I did). They are in it because they want money. Not because they genuinely want to help and care for people. It is a job that is in demand and all they see is dollar bills. Pretty scary that is our future health care workers.
I never heard of Everest before the other day when my Gyno's Med Assistant told me she went there. Have you been there to speak with them yet?
Yes, I am pretty much all set. All i need is to meet with financial aid. I took the test and wrote my essay. I am pretty sure I will be accepted for september. Are you planning on working during school? I plan on working on the weekends and once I am done I am going to do a lpn to rn at excelior. Im pretty excited!
Ok cool Katie. No, I don't work. My husband does. I don't want to scare you about Baker but I don't want people to go through what I went through. It was pretty bad. I think you are making a smart decision by going to this other school based on what that med assistant told me and my previous experience at Baker. I am going there soon. I can't wait to know all the details.
What is the process at Everest?
You went there and did you have to write an essay on why you want to be an L.P.N. and send it to them? Or did you write it there right then?
What else do they do to decide whether or not you will be accepted into their program?
I think the lady I spoke with Ms. Ways said they look at your previous colleges grades. Which mine should be fine A's and B's not good enough for Baker though.
Also how many students do they let into the program they have? I know once you're in you're in and that's it, right? You start classes and clinical's the second week I heard.
That is my plan!! I want to start and get working and helping people as soon as I can ; )
I have an appointment soon. I will let you know what happens. Keep me updated as well. I hope you get in!! When are they going to let you know if you are in? Oh and thank you very much for helping me by answering my questions :)
