Looking For Other Pa Nurses!!!!

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hello all,

I'm taking this chance to meet other nurses in PA. Who knows, maybe I've meant some of you. I graduated a year ago, and meant a lot of other nursing students in clinicals, and such.

Anyway, if you're interested in joining this discussion to meet others in PA who are recent grads., leave some comments.

Anyway, I'm wondering what kinds of hours everyone else is working, where people are working, what kinds of skills you're all learning, and your current job satisfaction, etc. Right now, I work quite a number of hours in a cardiovascular surgical unit. It's pretty good experience. Sometimes I find I get taken advantage of to work a lot of hours, but most times I don't mind, cuz I get a lot of good experience. I may move on to CRNA school someday. Any body else have grad. school aspriations?

Anyway, if you're a recent grad. or from PA, join the discussion, and let people know what's out there for new grads.

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

I will start a one yr LPN program in Aug. Been a sahm for over 10 years to 3 kids. I'm interested in info on any PA Lpn-Bsn programs. I think that distance learning would be doable for me as well.

Hope to hear how all you nurses are doing. Feel free to pm me.

Ted

Is anyone else out there in PA near Mercer County or work in Mercer Co.? Would like to hear from ya!

QUOTE=oceanblue]I'm in Pa. too, don't let the name fool ya, "oceanblue" is just wishful thinking. Anyways, I am about 40 minutes away from Pittsburgh (New Castle).:p

Hello, all! I might have a potential move to Philadelphia coming up, and I know virtually nothing about Pennsylvania, let alone Philadelphia. More of a country girl than a city girl even tho I am working in New Haven, CT right now. Working in an MICU currently (only for the last 3 months), though I have been an RN for 5 years (med/surg). If anyone could reply or PM me any info whatsoever, it would be greatly appreciated... Interested in finding out good places to work in the Philadelphia area, good places to live, how much RN's make in the hospitals, anything anyone is willing to share. Thank you so much if you do help.... I will greatly appreciate it!

WOW! am I the only nurse in southcentral PA who posts on this board? I live and work in Chambersburg, (30 mi from Gettysburg) in Franklin County. Oh I forgot, I work in a very busy ER...going into my 8th year in the ER (11 years in nursing) I should have my head examined. :uhoh3: :coollook:

I am not a native Pennsylvanian, nor am I new to nursing. Originally a westerner (born in Montana and raised in Colorado) I have found that I am tooooo far from the mountains! :chuckle

Hello! I Live and work in western PA. I work as RN/Supervisor in a local nursing home. Not a new grad, either. I've been working almost 5 years as an RN now. I worked as a nurse's aide prior to that. I'd also love to hear from fellow nurses in PA.

Hello all,

Still a student as of now, but I graduate in 4 months (May 2005). I'll be working in the Lehigh Valley Area on M/S/Telem unit. Most people on this thread seem to be from the Pittsburg and Philly area...considering there are more ppl in general in the city that makes sense : )
