  1. congradulations!!!! you must be so relieved to have your tutition taken care of. i just sent my signed contract back today with my current bills(uniforms, books, admission fee etc). that is where i need the most help-all these pre-school costs. i've been praying that god will deliver you and he did! :balloons: ted
  2. Steph, I agree with you about divine intervention. God has a plan for all of us who believe. It is amazing how things unfold when we let Him do it. I'll be praying that the wait will not be too long for you. Ted
  3. Dear Steph, Sure sounds like a sure thing for you!! I'll pray that it will happen for you. I was asked the same ? about what type of nursing to get into after school and I replied just like you did...how in the heck can anyone make that choice when they haven't been exposed to the whole scene. I received the contract for my sponsership today!!! I will receive 75% of my costs for school. That means only a small loan from the state board of ed. All I have to do is sign this baby and send it back. Well then contact my school to let them know of the new financial picture...and so on...more paper chasing and phone calls. lol Take care, Ted
  4. dear steph, [color=#00ffff]been busy all weekend and this is the first time on the puter since fri. the most important thing to do at an interview is to be yourself. don't be afraid to admit that you may get anxious at interviews (they will appreciate your honesty and humaness). i was asked my 5 year goal plan-where do you want to be in 5 years? also-why do you want to be a nurse? and why do you want to work at this hospital? [color=#00ffff]let us know how it went! [color=#00ffff]take care, [color=#00ffff]ted
  5. Well 7/12 is right around the corner and I'm sure that you will do fine. Be honest and confident (that was real tough for me). I guess my honesty showed through anyway and overrode my lack of confidence. I am still waiting for the official contract in the mail. The hospital will give me a certain amt of money that I will use for all these pre-school expenses (books, uniforms, lab tests and equipment) as well as toward my tutition. I will still have to take out a small loan but it looks to be a 'good deal"
  6. Hey everyone! Well I got the good news today!!! They accepted me into the program. Still have to work out all the details in the contract. Any advice on what to expect...would appreciate any tips. Thanks for all your support and prayers.
  7. Dear Nursediva, Wish you the best at your interview. Razzle and dazzle them with all you got!! I still have not heard the results of mine yet...but I have my fingers crossed.
  8. dear purple and nightingale, it looks very positive that i will get the sponsership!!! i was suprised at how relaxed it was. there were only two interviewers so that helped me feel better. they both said that i have what they were looking for in a sponsered student. wow, it looks very promising. will know for sure in a week or so. thanks for your support and advice.
  9. Ok, thanks for the tips on my interview. I made copies of my resume, wrote my 5 yr goal plan and talked to my husband a million times about it! I also have all my tutition paperwork and other bills (books, uniforms etc.) to take along. I'll give an update when it's over. Just need to remind myself to breathe!
  10. i need some advice!!! i have an interview on tues am to meet with the hospital hr dept for sponsership. i plan to start lpn school in aug and really need help buying books, uniforms and equip.
