Anyone applying?
MCHD is Montgomery County Hospital District. They are the 911 ambulance service for the Montgomery County area. I went through EMS school with them- they are amazing people. They have the Montgomery Clinic to help with shots for low income families and families without insurance. Each year the members of MCHD volunteer for "Shots Across America" to get school age children up to date on vaccines that their parents cant afford. Super awesome organization and very talented EMS personnel!:redbeathe
I have never taken one in the Katy area.. I know most colleges offer a CPR course, and most fire stations or EMS departments do. Cypress Creek EMS and Harris County ESD are closer to that area than Conroe.. and may have some offerings. There is a place called CPR NOW on 1960, I think.. and also MCHD, AMR, and Lonestar-Montgomery... You can also look on the American Heart Association website and search your area for places/people that are certified to teach a healthcare provider class.
Although it is not required to apply to the program, it is listed on the website as an "Admission Criteria". It wouldn't hurt to go ahead and obtain it because it will be good for two years and you will have plenty to do once you get admitted into the program! It is a wise choice to try and get it out of the way while you can! :)
Just took the HESI exam and my total score is 11.59. I'm applying to both Cy-Fair and Kingwood and I am really nervous . I really hope it's enough to get in at least one of the programs..

No its not the hospital. I think it may be called Montgomery County Public Health Clinic. It is on 200 Riverpoint Dr. in the Woodforest building beside IHOP on 45. It is on the 3rd floor suite 310. The phone number is 936 523 5020
