Anyone applying?
GOOD LUCK BETH!!!
when I was taking anatomy portion yesterday the questions were all from anatomy 1. Only one freaking question about female reproductive system was in it, which is information from anatomy 2. One thing I noticed was that questions were pulled from question bank because if you look at the right corner of each question, there is four digit numbers ex:41234 (miscellaneous info).
and thank you heatheremt and rayneome for repsonding to my whine... I guess I have to think positive and hope I may get in somehow...
Also do I need to visit the campus in order to turn in everything? or is possible to turn in my forms and what not through online?
Hi there! I read through all of y'alls posts and found them extremely helpful!! I started college not knowing what I wanted to do so I finished my A.A. degree and decided that I would apply to the Radiology program. After doing volunteer work I received advice that was decision changing. So I decided to apply to the RN program. I am great in biology and really enjoy learning about the body, even have a way of remembering all the terms!!
I have just finished Intro to A&P and got an A. This fall I am taking BIOL 2401. I will have all of the required courses except BIOL 2402 & Medical Microbiology by January app time. If I dont get accepted because those are not completed I will have to apply in the fall of 2012 for a program that starts the following January 2013.
Has anyone ever gotten accepted without yet completing BIOL 2402 & Microbiology? I will be taking those in the Spring but since they are not fully completed and will be in progress they don't get looked at. I have made A's in all the pre-req's and plan on doing no less in BIOL 2401. I have even completed Math 1314.
Just wanted to see if I complete BIOL 2401 this fall, have all other pre-reqs with A's, and will be in progress with Biol 2402 & Micro in the Spring, if there is a chance I will get accepted?
I know the HESI is over both BIOL 2401 AND 2402. Any info is helpful

Here is the link to the scoring chart that shows how they breakdown points for entrance to the nursing program
: http://www.lonestar.edu/departments/nursing/BASIC_Scoring_Chart_for_Admission2010.pdf
@flylikeabird I have reviewed the scoring sheet a time or two. I get confused because in some places it says only bio 2401 is a required course to take before application (not biol 2402). On the grading sheet it says it takes the best score out of the two.... PSYC and ENGL I have an A. All other classes on the list I have an A in which is why I am going to study my heart out and get an A in Biol 2401.
I am going to take the HESI as a "pre test" and then take it again during application period...This fall I am doing all of my required shot series and CPR. I just didn't know if anyone had applied to the program without being totally completed with BIOL 2402. I see a lot of people talking about taking Microbiology after they applied. I will have all of Spring next year to complete 2402 and micro.
I am going to buy the study guides that each person has mentioned and study hard. I guess I am not nervous because I know in the end I will be an RN. I just wanted to get into the program sooner than later...I guess we all do. So to apply in Jan and get my acceptance letter by end of march and start the program in the fall would be my dream situation. But because I will be in progress with 2402 I didn't know if that would hurt my chance all together. Taking BIOL 2404 is all 11 systems in one, in depth but quicker than I & II (may help me a bit).
Guess Ill just have to wait it out and see and do all that I can before hand. BEST OF LUCK to you all!!!!! Just remember if you have to wait until another application period (like I may have to) you will get accepted into one program or another and we will all be nurses!
Thank you katybusymom and flylikeabird!!! I took the hesi today and I am so relieved it's over! :yeah:I will be applying to kingwood with a 11.59....I'm still very nervous and anxious, not sure if this score is good enough. I want the application period to be over. I cant stand the waiting, I feel sorry for those of you who applied at the beginning of the application period, I can only imagine the stress you're feeling!!!
Stress is an understatement, lol. But on the bright side, my summer school grades were finally posted today and they mailed my transcript to Lonestar. Yay!! So I know that I will have everything in by the deadline. I know my score isn't very high, but I am hoping that doesn't hurt me. After seeing the "class average" for Lonestar Cy-Fair in the A&P section (71), I am hopeful that the number of applicants is lower than in the past. I can wish:)

Yeah I checked the elsvier website too but which when I check the link for A&P, it says the class avrg score was 62. However, when I check the main page where it shows my score for each section, the class average for A&P was72.... which score is which?
