I think you will be fine. The only RN transition program I am familiar with is Montgomery and North Harris and they seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum; NH typically has the the lowest and Mont. usually the highest.

Also, the premise of "cutoff score" is actually relative to the range of scores of the applicants and the number accepted. It varies year to year depending on how well the applicants have scored. If everyone applying is getting 11 to 11.3, then your "cutoff score" is going to be rather low. Same goes if the field is flooded with people scoring 11.6 to 11.8. It just depends on other people scores and the number of applicants.

My sister got into Montgomery with an 11.48 or 11.49, and she wasn't even close to the lowest in her class. This was in 2007-2008.

My mom got in with an 11.65 or 11.67 at the same school.

I think with your score you will be just fine. Try not to stress your nerves. I would really only be worried if your score were below 11.1-11.3

GOOD LUCK! :yeah:

Thank you so much CaseyT! :) That made me feel better but I do pray that I make it in because I DO NOT want to have to take that HESI again... That would suck if I did worse -_-.

So, there are 9 more days until the deadline.. Does anyone know when they start sending letters out? Is it right after that??

Calm down HeatherEMT. lol! We'll know in time. I would give it at least 2-4 weeks. I'm sure they have to evaluate what the computer spits out. I wouldn't say that its that quick.

ugh! 11.45... i'm doomed! why do you guys have to be so smart?

Good luck to all of us and GOD bless everyone.

I see everyone is stressing just as I am!! Good luck to everyone....we have all come so far and worked our behinds off!!

Here is a question.... if anyone can answer that would be great!

When are we supposed to take Pharm is we haven't taken it before starting the program? I am currently taking Micro, and I am applying for the Spring 2012 program. Is Pharm worked in to the first semester of nursing, or do we have to fit it in somewhere? A friend of mine said that someone in the dept. had told her that you couldn't take Pharm before applying unless you took it at another school (???). But now I see that several are taking it now while waiting to be accepted. If anyone can shed some light on this, I would be so grateful!!!

Good luck to everyone!! :)

How long does it take for the HESI scores to show up on the application? So far it's been 9 days for me and it's still not up.

You can take pharm before the program starts- I think if you get accepted it has to be taken in the first semester or second semester of nursing school

It can take several days for the scores to be entered. I was tired of waiting so I visited the nursing department at cy-fair in person to ask how long it takes for the scores to be put in the system. The lady had a stack of test on her desk and she entered my scores while I stood right there. I then had to go print the scoresheet from the lib. and take it back with my packet.
