Anyone applying?
Katybusymom... my microbiology was 2421 or whichever one is different from what the nursing program said so I hope that is not an issue because I will not have time for that ;-). Emailed someone before I took the course over the summer and was assured that I could use it. I am starting to get nervous now.
I've been trying since May 20th. I'm near the end of my rope. And when they said I would have to fill out a substitution form for Micro and speak to an advisor, I almost lost it yesterday. I took the class from a major Texas university, not some po-dunk in another state that no one has ever heard of. It's microbiology for Pete's sake.
@prayerful, I'm going to see an advisor either today or in the morning. I took
BIO 2460 Nursing Microbiology from UTA, and since Lonestar doesn't have a class that is equal to that (all of their classes are lower), they want to make me fill out a substitution form? Are you kidding me? OMG, these people!!!
I need them to count my micro class b/c it's taking away a whole point off of my score chart!!!!
@bluzbet, you are fine. I'm applying with a 11.453, but I'm still applying. It's all electronic anyway. The computer spits out the first 50 people with the highest score charts, and they notify us from there. Good Luck :)
I visited Cy Fair nursing department to find out what we need to turn in. We need:
1) two application forms in the nursing website
2) FERPA form, which is also in the nursing website.
3) Academic advising report ( unoffiicial transcript you can print at mylonestar).
4) Also the HEP B form (not sure whether you started or proof of completion)
Also they moved their office from HSC 129 to HSC 250I ( the new health science center building)
I've tried to get answers for how many have applied, cutoffs, etc but the lady was unwilling to give out those answers... anways gl to everyone who's applying
@prayerful, I talked to the department chair of biology today. She's looking over the syllabus from my micro class at UTA. Hopefully, she will get back to me tomorrow. I can't imagine that they wouldn't accept the credit, but nothing would surprise me at this point. The funny thing is, is that not one other college or university has questioned that class. UTHSC transferred it right over, no questions asked.

Well I had some sent over in July just thinking that maybe it would help and then the one with final summer grades probably arrived this week,so that is why I am worried. I have been calling and emailing everyone though and will probably make a trip up there when I can. Hopefully it all works out. How long did it take for yours to update?
