Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54
Hello Aleeceness, Would you please tell me what do I need to do to appeal for financial aid ???I am in the same boat as you. I have financial aid for Spring only
From my past experience you write an essay stating why you should get aid other than financial need. It's not complicated though I haven't done one for lonestar so it might be different.

I am going through the process right now. There is a form that you have to fill out, (professional judgement request) I have to appeal because I already have a degree, but I would think that it would be similar. There is an "Appeal for Financial Aid" form to fill out. I also had to write a letter stating why I am requesting financial aid. I had to visit with an advisor, and have them fill out an Academic Success Plan, and you also need a copy of your academic advisement report.
It is all pretty easy, just a little time consuming. The letter was the most difficult part for me, but still quite easy.
Good luck!

Kim2377 :Go in your my lonestar and on the main page you'll see where it says that you are in finacial suspencion, right below that there is an option where it says appeal click on that.
No I have no clue. I also saw that on my schedule in the box for clinicals that is says lscs insurance required. I was just wondering if anyone else had that on yours or is it on everyone's? If I should be getting that insurance like real fast or what?
It depends if is required by the hospital. Either way is better to have health insurance just in case. I need to get one myself.

Jennjenn they said that not all clinical sites require insurance even though the paper said that. I'm still gonna buy it through the school either way bc I need insurance. But you have to pay up front for coverage which is why I'm waiting lol.
