Okay y'all.... I got a call from Kingwood just a bit ago.... I'M IN!!!!! Let this journey begin!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS MalMal13!

Hey Cy-Fair students for the booklist if you have looked at them on the bookstore already it says some come with access codes. I am thinking about buying from Amazon because it is cheaper but I cannot tell if they come with access codes or not. Do you guys think its required?

hey dreksterrr... I have looked up the books on Amazon as well, and it looks like many of them come with the access codes. Well, at least that is what I am reading in the reviews.

Role Development in Professional etc... - this edition has the access code

Taylor's Clinical Nurs Skills... - has CD, but I don't know what "Bind-In AccessCode" is.. I thought about calling Amazon to find out. - this is an almost 30.00 savings

Fund of Nursing = comes with the CD and access code if purchased new.

am I nuts, or are the same books listed for different classes? For example:

RNSG 1105 - Taylor's Clinical Nurs Skills(w/CD & Bind-in AccessCode)

RNSG 1309 - Taylor's Clinical Nurs Skills(w/CD & Bind-in AccessCode)

RNSG 1144 - Taylor's Clinical Nurs Skills(w/CD & Bind-in AccessCode)

Yeah some books will correspond with the other classes. Thanks for the info about the books Momma_D! Yeah it is alot cheaper and I wanna order off Amazon because I get 5% back from my credit card.. I just don't know if the other books come with access codes. Yeah, I have no clue what bind-in means

from my rough calculations, there is a savings of approx. 117.54 if you purchased all the books from Amazon instead of the bookstore.... There is however, one that is actually less expensive at the bookstore. (Health Assessment in Nursing)

the calculations are with out the Dosing calculations text book.. I have that one already

Congratulations to you momma d!!!!!!!

If you buy NEW your ok. I personally like a hands-on book with e-access. I use the online access codes when researching things in the book. Use dealoz.com to find the best new book price

Thanks guys! VA is in the ball. I already have part of my schedule up:

Tuesday integrated skills I 3pm-4:50pm

Wednesday Nursing skills I 5pm-9pm

Saturday clinical

Online Pham. I prefer during the week clinical but I selected Saturday clinical at orientation and that was before I spoke with my job. I am not going to complain... especially since it was my fault. I'm not sure if they would let us switch or not. Also, I've already taken 'harm in 2009 and made a C but I figured I should take it again. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments about that?

If you got a C I wouldn't worry to much about it. Its not going to be about your GPA, but more along the lines that you must make a 70% and above on all exams and class work. The END!!! :)

Otherwise I'd advise you to start studying just pharm calculations and reading the fundamentals of nursing book!! Be prepared to study at least 2 hours every day if not more!!! KNow you pharm math calculations... As I heard from many current nursing students there is a math test you must passed with a 90+ and you only have 3 times or your out!

Congrats gayla!

THANK YOU!!!!!

Gayla are you days or nights?

Schedule:

Friday 6:30-5 CLINICAL

Monday & Tuesday (LEC)9:30am-11 , (LAB)11:10-12

Tuesday lab 3pm-4:50

Wednesday (1st 6wks) 9am-5pm

Where does it tell you that the Wednesday class is only 6 weeks? I got scheduled for the night class so I'm curious as to how long mine will be.
