lonestar nursing 2014 hopeful

Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Oh really that's the same professor I have , I read her raitings on rate my professor and she seem like a nice teacher, maybe we could create a study group with other students as well.

Haha, I read the her ratings as well on that site yesterday. Yeah I do not know if you are taking morning or evening but I have morning...On Tuesday it looks like I have class 9-12pm than lab from 3-4:50pm. I will be using those 3 hours on Tuesdays for studying at the campus or we can find another way to study.

I think my score was kinda low compared to others here, it was around a 10.5. I did not want to retake the pre req classes I took back in the 90's and I choose not to redo any AP. I made B's in all my sciences. I thought those were good for going back to school after 15+ years with 3 kids and husband to care for. However I see how competitive this is going to be, especially after the orientation at cyfair. And your score?

but they looked at at your records in certified profile... that has to be a good thing.... good luck my friend. I too am an alternate..... :geek:just waiting....

Hello, Does anyone know if the book list that we received a month ago is correct?

Also, I would like to know what kind of hemostats are you buying. There are different kinds up there. Please any info will be appreciated.

I guess you get whatever type as long as their hemostats

Mine was view 12/6. I guess that's a good sign for both of us. Like you, it is not my first choice but I feel like I would be dumb if I did not accept it.

Hi there, I am an alternate and just to let you know my certified profile was looked at today 12/13 by cyfair. Not my 1st choice of the two but if given the opportunity I will take it. Has anyone else been looked at. Did any kingwood people get their profile looked at?

Really? How was it, who was your professor ?. I'm having to take pharmacology with all my nursing courses this spring coming up and I want to Jevon idea of what courses is like online, I never had an online course before :/

I would have preferred to take it in class bc I hate online classes. But it wasn't too bad you have assignments due every week and quizzes every so often. I had professor wright at kingwood.

Wednesday 9-5pm till Feb. 12

Friday-Clinicals 6:30am-5pm

Do we have to buy the brand LANDAU for our scrubs????

Okay because that website allheart you told me about....I just got a lab coat and 2 pairs of scrubs, scissors, hemostats, penlight, stethoscope, pocket organizer all for $104....awesome
