Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Ink is only to elbow for now! I think I like the lab coat idea the best. It's just too hot here in Houston for constant long sleeves. But I will probably get both. Thank you

If significant ink is exposed, you'd have to wear the lab coat all day in clinicals. The long tshirt is more ideal when working with patients than a lab coat which I find to get in the way; besides, the hospitals keep the thermostat slightly above ice age temperatures, so sometimes sleeves are a plus.

Has anyone heard anything back from the BON or received their blue cards?

Yes I have my blue card. I'm finally done with everything approved on certified profile except my CPR cert. I'm almost complete!!!

Still waiting on my blue card, but am done with everything! It feels quite amazing because I was freaking out at the beginning.

Hi, did you start the blue card process after the orientation or did you have it in progress before. I am trying to get a idea as to when and how long it will take. I had one lady talk to me nice and try to be helpful once when I called the BON, then the next time this other person was kind of short and seemed annoyed at my questions. Thanks.

I did mine a couple weeks back. The lady at the finger printing place said it could take up to six weeks to receive the card. So I'm just waiting.

I am just waiting on my cpr card in the mail and than health insurance is still incomplete. not sure if I need to do that one or not

I emailed **** and she said not to worry about it because we won't know who needs it until we do clinical orientation. So you're done for now! :-D

I just called the BON and was told my blue card will be mailed tomorrow.

And I was fingerprinted on the 8th of this month. So everyone should be getting there's real soon.
