Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

If anyone finds any other all white shoes besides those that were already mentioned, please let me know. Those don't fit me well and are rather clunky for my smaller frame. I know we need good support though.

I am going to try to get some online bc they might have better selections. Can we get nike brand shoes if they are all white bc I found some all white ones online...

Okay I am done with everything as well....I just need to know about the health insurance....We were told that can wait at orientation but it is on the to do list?? hmmm

With the shoes I would like to get something cute but comfortable....Bulky shoes tend to make me trip over them....lol

I found nikes I could customize but they were going to be $160 and I was hoping to spend less. I will never wear an all white shoe other places. Especially if it's doused with gunk in a hospital room. I asked and we can have any brand as long as the entire shoe is white, including the bottom (sole).

Does anyone know what scrubs are required for CyFair adn program? i have to buy some for volunteer work and i may as well get the right ones thanks

Brand is at your discretion, color for CyFair is black. I have a pair of Carhartt which are awesome and seem more durable and stain resistant to traditional scrubs. I have these since many other brands cater to men via unisex only sizing which doesn't suit a male frame, they also have a ladies line. Plus they have cargo pockets which you will come to find useful and down right necessary when on the floor.

Cherokee a decent as well as Dickies Gen Flex line of scrubs. Campus bookstore sells Landau which I have 1 pair of and only worn twice, don't really like them thus I keep them in my car as an emergency backup in the event of becoming soaked at clinical in less than desirable body fluids.

Hit up Houston Outlets on 290 or Katy Mills mall. Once you know your size and brand preference order online from allheart.com or Amazon.

How far down your arms is your ink?

A plain long sleeve Tshirt from Walmart will suffice. Otherwise a white lab coat.

Begin by reviewing your A&P notes from when you took the courses. There are many great HESI study books available on Amazon and at your local bookstore in regards to preparation for the A&P section of the HESI, although to be honest, it wasn't all that hard.

Helps to know what your background is, when you took A&P and what you're having difficulty with.
