Lonestar nursing applicants for spring 2016

Published

Hi guys! I will be applying for lonestar cyfair and a few others in the spring of 2016. I was wondering if anyone had started studying for the hesi and also what grades have they gotten so far in their classes!

Last application period for the fall 2015 program there were about 120 alternates. But there were more schools for the program for the fall then there are for spring. But I think they get about 30 for each school. So maybe about 60 alternates. I'm not sure though so don't take my word for it. I went to the orientation for the alternates in may and the room was packed! They had to bring in chairs from other classrooms.

Is anyone has information about Fast track Hep-b vaccine? Where to get it ? Please please help ~~~ :-(((

I got accepted to the Cyfair 2016 spring program. Anyone know if there is going to be like an information meeting?? I need to know what color scrubs to buy, shoes, etc.

you can go to HEB redi clinic or CVS minute clinic!

Redi clinic at heb but the booster shot has to be done after a year!!! I don't know if lonestar will accept that.

Did Jane sent out the email for background check/fingerprint not the certified profile email. The information session is done at the mandatory boot camp I believe ...

The boot camp is January 13th. That's 1 week before school starts. I need to get my stuff together now :-/

I'm confused as to what Hep B vaccine y'all are referring to. there are 4 Hep B vaccines correct? they have to be spaced out within 6 months?

Redi clinic at heb but the booster shot has to be done after a year!!! I don't know if lonestar will accept that.

I don't know what else I can do. I will just go ahead try ... Hope this will work out . I am frustrated about this Hep-b thing

Did anyone get accepted as an alternate? And what are your scores? I did and I'm trying to figure out where I might be on the list compared to everyone else..mu score was 7.04

Heb B vaccinations are a series of 3 shots done within a 6 month span. Accelerated Heb B is actually a combination of Heb A and B vaccines that can be completed within a 30 days for all 3 doses BUT a booster shot is needed a year later from the last dose. Hope this clarify it. I spoke with Joe, PA from redi clinic at HEB on Spring Cypress. He was very helpful so was his MA Phet! they were able to put my tdap and flu shot on my insurance so I didn't pay anything for those. I got my varicella, MRR and hep b titers done here as well for about $210. Hope this help you guys. Titers are required for Cy-Fair. Hoping all my titers come back with quantitive results because that's what the program requires and that I show immunity for them. Wish all of us the best of luck. Stressing out until we get the clear from everything. Oh and I don't think titers are covered by any insurance but I could be wrong. Some urgent care I went to wanted roughly $500 for everything ....

You can do a fast track. Which is done in 3 months and then you get a booster at a year
