Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

So I called again and this time someone told me that my app has not been reviewed yet! I'm about to go crazy. I Dont even think ill get a response by the deadline. It seems that I'll have top give up my spot and apply next year.

Has anyone bought their scrubs yet? Montgomery has white tops and teal bottoms and I was wondering if anyone found a brand they really liked? I'm 5ft even so i know ill probably have to hem my pants. I'm probably gonna go by scrubs etc next week to look around

We are the same height and dickie petite pants are great. No hemming needed.

I am only 5 ft as well, I found that i really like the peaches brand scrub bottoms they have a petite size and it is the perfect length for me! I love them! The only thing I have to buy is the patches and a lab coat

I just went to scrubs etc. , the greys anatomy are the best!.... I am only 5'2 and they have scrubs for us short girls! I used to wear the Cherokee and landau when I worked before, I tried some of them on as well Tuesday...the grey's ones are more comfortable and the material is softer!

Yeah! Finally got my blue card yesterday. What a hassle! I had to do it twice. My first prints were rejected, so I had to reschedule it. The second time, I lubricated my hands well with Corn Husker's Lotion and prints came out fine. Did my last set on May 15, and it took 3 weeks and one day, to get the blue card. Word of advice, anyone doing fingerprints start as early as possible. You never know what snags you'll run into.

I have health insurance but its good through Nov. Does anyone know if I habe to upload another health insurance? Or the one that I have will do?
