Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

She told me I was last for the whole system bc when I asked her if I could wait for the next opening and she told me that if I have it up that I would have to wait until next year but it was the final one all the schools were done with their alternates

Ayla, it was weird but I got my blue card and this past Saturday I actually got my ATT (the letter from the BON) approval to test. Have you called? The last time I called they told me my app. Was going to be reviewed.

all white top and teal bottom with patch on left side. all white shoes and all white lab coat or long sleeve if you want!

Thank you I bought some scrubs for the VN program but now I need to go return them and get the ones for the ADN and we can buy any lab coat right !

Congrats yazi! Ayala I did my background check on April 30 in Katy at Sylvan learning center and got my blue card in the mail today.

Really?? That's where I did mine. And that's good. Im hoping I get it today.

Yes. I called them yesterday and they told me the same thing, that is still under review.

Hi guys! I took my Hesi today and have an 11.2 for my entrance score. Do you guys think that's good enough or should I retake the Hesi? I know you all have experience in this department that is why I'm asking :D

Hey ! And yes I thinks that good I applied with a 10.06 bc I was just wanting to see how the application process was and I was missing anatomy 2 and micro and I was called to be an alternate and I got the call 2 days ago for the ADN program so yes I believe everything is possible !!

I called the BON and they told me they received my fingerprints yesterday and I submitted them on April 24th. My charges aren't that bad. They told me that it will take 10 days to reviewand if not that it will go to enforcement office and I will have to pay a fee. This is sooo frustrating.:(

No. Still nothing. :( I mean my charge was an MIP do you think they might send it to enforcement?
