  1. Hello Joannapril15, My class is not until early August. Let us know how your class goes. Anyone else out there starting class in early August?
  2. Hello, Hello! Anyone of this Tomball thread?? By the way, I finally did get my blue card in the nick of time.
  3. Yeah! Finally got my blue card yesterday. What a hassle! I had to do it twice. My first prints were rejected, so I had to reschedule it. The second time, I lubricated my hands well with Corn Husker's Lotion and prints came out fine. Did my last set on May 15, and it took 3 weeks and one day, to get the blue card. Word of advice, anyone doing fingerprints start as early as possible. You never know what snags you'll run into.
  4. Great news, Amberly! It will be same feeling for me too. Still waiting for my blue card.
  5. Hello again! I want to share this information, in case someone else has their finger prints rejected. I went today for a reprint of my prints because mine were rejected the first time around. This time, I did my research and found that others were recommending corn huskers lotion as a solution to getting good finger prints. Also, I read limit hand washing and don't use hand santizer--start treatment approx. 4 days in advance of your finger print appt. The lady taking my prints said that mine were coming out great this time, and I would not be rejected again. She said that she could tell that I had been lubricating my hands. I told her that I was using corn huskers lotion, and she said that it was the best. She said that in two days my finger prints will be processed and sent to the BON. I should get my blue card in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, she is right.
  6. Lonab04, thank you for your response. How long does it take to get a blue card? Going for a retake on my finger prints, Thursday. Hoping they come out good this time.
  7. Hi, you all! I hope all is well. Did anyone have their finger prints get rejected? I am going for a retake on Thursday. If anyone has any advice let me know. Also, I noticed on the physical exam, my doctor did not check off the gential exam because he doesn't do it. I was wondering if anyone had any problems submitting the form without the gential exam? Thanks in advance.
  8. Anyone have any problem with their finger prints or know someone that got rejected? Mine were rejected, so I got to go back and do it again. Maybe it was too much hand washing. Any suggestions on getting good prints? How long does it take to get a blue card?
  9. Hey ya all! Is anyone excited about the upcoming orientation?
  10. I know that the TB test isn't suppose to be done until after we go to orientation (see acceptance letter). The secretary in the nursing department said that she would go with the later date in the letter.
  11. Thanks Lucaya! Yes, I am so doing this! I got the online April 15th requirements done. I see a long to do list that says due by May 22. On the admission checklist, it says June 16 instead. Tomorrow, I will hand in my letter of intent and ask for clarifications concerning dates.
  12. Hi Lucaya, Thanks for the invite. Things are a little "crazy" for me right now. My husband is trying to schedule a second surgery. He has a bad wrist tear to his ligments. If you want to open a FB page, then go ahead. I am still working on the requirements. I will hand in my letter of intent early next week and do all the requirements that are due on April 15. I do not know when the nursing building (HSB) opens, but I do know the HSB library opens at 9:00.
  13. Thanks Lucaya for creating this forum. Congrats to you as well! Congrats to all the new Tomball nursing students! Can't wait to meet all of you too!
  14. Hey Lucaya! Have you got the Tomball forum started yet? If so could you post the link. Thanks!
  15. ss23, Congrats! I am in ADN Tomball too.
