Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

If you visit the Lone Star nursing programs website there is a score sheet listed under additional requirements and that score sheet will show you how to calculate "your" score. I recommend also to look over the power point that is listed under the North Harris nursing website because it will give you a better idea of how the scoring works.

I have seen on other threads and people started making a chart of everyone's score . Would everyone be willing to share? This way we can get some what of an idea of what this years scores look like.

10.5 (Montgomery, Tomball, North Harris, Cy-Fair).....I live in Montgomery, Tx so I ranked it by distance....I know the Montgomery campus is a long shot, but I just hope and pray I get in somewhere!

I have a 11.15 is that a good score? I'm actually applying to lonestar as a back up. I already applied to PV and UT health for the BSN program.

Redhen I am in Montgomery too! I am applying to Montgomery, North Harris, Tomball. Don't have my score yet because I have to complete my HESI in the first week of February. As soon as I get it I'll post it.

abaker that is a good score. I think last semester the admitted score was in the mid 10's. I'm sure you land in one of the spots at one of the schools that you applied to.

Hey All! I am so excited I just turned in my application to Montgomery for the Fall 2014 Basic Track start! I have been a Radiology Tech for 4 (going on 5) years and decided it was not fulfilling enough for me, so here I am back in school! I am applying with an 11.6! I put Tomball as my second choice, but didn't apply to NH or CyFair because of distance! Good luck to all, and look forward to checking back in with you all!

Krw2013 you will definitely get into Montgomery with that score! Have you taken pharmacology yet? If not try and get Professor Girocco she is a great teacher!
