Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

OMG!! I am sooo happy for everyone that has gotten accepted. Today has probably been the worst day of my life bc we had to put down my Pomeranian of 10 yrs. So needless to say its nice that everyone is getting good news, it's keeping my mind off things. I haven't gotten any emails :/ but who knows maybe that means I actually got into Montgomery.

Hello, you guys! I've been following this thread for quite some time now! I can finally come out and let you guys know that I've been accepted into NH's nursing program for fall 2014!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the email! Wishing you guys success as we go through this journey together!

I just talked to Montgomery Nursing Dept and they said that they sent everything to the board and are still waiting on them. He said it would take about another week or two for everyone that applied to Montgomery to receive their emails. This is so stressful!! I wish they sent them all out at once!!

No I haven't yet, they are my first choice, tomball second, NH third. Haven't heard from any of them.
