Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

No I didn't know they had one. What happened was you know math 0310 is accepted for the nursing program well I took that but I also took 0308 and 0306 and thats why my gpa is so low but I wonder if they will just look at the 0310 because that's the one that is required and then recalculate my gpa without the other two because my gpa would be so much higher without the other two that aren't needed

Add me to the list please. Im applying to cyfair ADN as my first choice with an 11.28. And VN with a 7.28. I was accepted as an alternate last year with a 10.8. Im hoping I get in somewhere:/

Hopefully we get in! I turned in my application and I havent received an email confirming that she received them. And I keep emailing and calling and nothing.

I hope so I doubt I'll get into the RN bc I'm currently in anatomy 2 and microbiology so I'm behind a couple points I only have 10.06. I got an email on Monday for the VN.

I didnt know they had a form but I jusst called and spoke with an advisor she said to just stop by this week and fill out the form and that it shouldn't affect my chances of getting into the program. Thanks!

Its weird because I received confirmation for the ADN but not VN. And I turned in both applications on the same day. Should I be worried??

Are we supposed to get a confirmation for the RN also?
