Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.
I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

Baandrew, have you tried quizlet?
I used the app & website alongside the hesi exam review book to study for vocab. I hope you find it helpful!! Good luck! :)
Aw thanks guys! I had quite a few household conversions, ratios, and fractions. Add, subtract, multiply and convert to decimal. For vocab it was straight out of the review book, no kidding. Med terms mostly. Study the ones in the review book and you will be fine! Happy orientation you guys!

SparklesMedic,Thanks for your tip. It does seem that the book, the school recommended, is the ultimate resource. I am hitting the math hard because it has been "many moons" ago, since I actually sit in a math class. Any advice on anatomy & physiology? How was the reading portion?
I know that feeling! It's been a month of Sunday's here too! A&P had a couple hormone questions, muscle attachment, organ regions, hearing and digestive questions for me so it was a bit diverse but pretty basic. Shouldn't be a problem. I took A&P last spring, didnt study that portion and still made an A on the HESI. That's me though, if you think it might be tough then reviewing the book should be sufficient. Maybe look over your notes. The reading portion was straight forward. Read a paragraph and answer three or four questions about what you read. You can reference the paragraph to answer the questions too, but definitely take the time to read it through before you read the questions just so your eyes don't automatically search for the answers. I can't wait to hear how you do!
