Lonestar College Cyfair ADN Fall 2010

Published

:lol2: Congratulations to everyone who received their acceptance letters for the ADN program at Cyfair for 2010! :lol2:

Can't wait to meet you all! So, what now lol?

Does anyone know what our schedule is going to be like? I have seen, on other threads, people have mentioned the schedule is up for their campuses. But, I have not seen (or else I am looking in the wrong place for it) anything on our campus schedule. Any help is appreciated!

I think Lilag posted the class schedule on the first page of this thread. Is that the schedule your talking about?

I just looked at the catalog for the RNSG classes, and then looked at the fall course schedule that is online to get the schedule that I posted. I have no idea how correct it is, but it sounds about like what I've seen posted for previous classes. I think all of the past classes have been able to choose a.m. or p.m. at orientation. It's been said that a.m. goes quickly so show up early if you want them.

I'm wondering how much the schedule is going to change every semester and how soon we'll find out clinical times. My neighbor said that she'll help me out with childcare, and she's pretty flexible (except Sundays), but I hate to wait until the last minute.

I hope the schedule is accurate because 9 sounds like a really good start time to me. Anyone finished their paper work yet? I just need to turn in my Hep B stuff then I'm done. Seems like July is taking forever I can't wait for orientation. Is anyone planning on taking pharm and at which location? I haven't decided whether to take it or not.

I've turned everything in except my last Hep B shot, and she said to just bring that to orientation. I'll probably drop it by before anyway, just in case. I'm so ready for orientation, too. I feel like I've been looking at all of the supplies for ages, and I'm ready to get it all and start 'playing'!:D

I'm taking pharm at Tomball during the first summer session. Now that they've cleared the way for taking it before, I just want to get it out of the way. Added bonus--hopefully those five weeks will go by that much faster.

Yea I know what you mean about making things so faster, I enrolled to take pharm online at Kingwood. I heard its not that hard but it can be a lot of reading, something we have to get used to I guess. ;)

dang... I'm still waiting for this dang "blue card"... am i the only one waiting to receive it??

i think i have good news. My nephew is getting certified by American Heart to be a CPR instructor. Depending when he gets certified and has his equipment, i/we can get CPR certified by him..

Oh that's awesome! Um, what blue card lol?

the card we are suppose to receive from the background check place. They said they send one to the school and one to us. As far as i know, we bring in the receipt to the RN department (well copy) as proof. Then when the supposed blue card comes stating we are clear and good, we bring that in. This is that i think is to happen.

I think the blue card comes to us as a notification that the school has received the background check. Either way I haven't received mine yet either but I have turned the receipt in.

humm.. well, i called the RN department a few minutes ago and left a message. Whenever i get the calls back and can ask my question, i will lets everyone know.

I was under the impression that the L1 (background check place) sends out two letters; one to the school and one to us. One would be the blue card in which we bring in to the school. IDK, i could be wrong. Doesn't matter as i will find out today.
