Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.
I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?
wheni called the RN department, they told me if you take Pharm and will be applying to Cy-Fair. you have to take the Pharm class from another campus. Cy-fair wont take the class if you take it at their campus. They will however will take it from others.
I will be taking Pharm at the Tomball campus and will start the nursing program in the fall.
I think they are going to change that rule. Something about the course numbers (Cy-Fair's is 1201 I believe and all the others use 1301) I heard they were going to all go to the same course number and this issue will be gone. Either way, I am taking Pharm this summer online through another campus.
Hey everyone, so from what I'm reading from the past replies... Kingwood cutoff has usually been 11.5 and 11.4 for Cyfair? I'm standing at a 11.3 right now but probably will retake the HESI to bump up my Reading score (I have 82.61% right now). Where is everyone else standing in right now for their scores? I know it's much more competitive for Spring so I just wanted to get a feel on what I should be aiming for.. I'm so nervous I'll be declined by .1pts!
I'm at about 11.3 too, but I made a B in English so I am going to retake it during the summer online. Has anyone else taken English online at Lone Star? Who was your teacher if so? I hope I don't get a really hard teacher or something. I'm also going to retake my HESI because I made an 87 in english and 90 in math I think.

Hello,
I am also planning on applying for the spring 2011 nursing program. Glad to find others who are doing the same thing! I have all my classes completed except for Medical Microbiology...which comes to 27 credits so I'm pretty sure I will get the 4 points with that. I was told by a friend that I must complete Medical Micro in order to get the 4 points...has anyone else heard this?
Am so excited it's finally my time to APPLY! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :)
