Lone Star Spring 2020 ADN

Published

From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.

The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.

I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?

If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)

It was 850, you think that can affect my admission? I hope it doesn't

I received the letter at 1130am

Have you checked your junk/spam to be sure it's not in there?

@Flowereri i’m pretty sure someone with a slightly lower score got accepted , so you should be in . Dont quote me on that but I believe so if I remember correctly lol

@kvg74 I literally checked everywhere lol student email, personal and junk and spam on both, nothing. I hope so @WilsonDeleonJr

Y'all know if they are open tomorrow so I can call them or would they be available on Monday?

They use the critical thinking score as a tie breaker if students have the same HESI score.

Yeah, if I don't hear anything by the end of today I will definitely call I have a 7.552 as CF my first choice then KW as well.

You had to have gotten in cuz I had a 7.504 and i got accepted into CF.

So when will we find out if there is a seat open and if we get that seat? Cause I’m an alternate at all 3 programs. I don’t want to be notified by LVN that a seat opened but then ADN also has a seat open. Can you accept then decline?

@RNtobe thats why i asked , cause there were multiple people with a 7.552 . Plus people with lower scores got accepted as mentioned above so they should be good .
