From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.
The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.
I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?
If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)
Okay cuz on the syllabus is shows we have vsim so im not sure which one to buy.. lol I emailed my teacher again but she hasnt replied.
Yeah ask specifically about the vsim! I found an old syllabus from my prof and she had them doing vsim stuff so I assumed I was going to have to get the expensive one but surprisingly we didn’t need it!

I would email her again and say that you see two options and you’re not sure which one applies because both says it has PrepU and you don’t want to buy the wrong option so you would like more clarity.
It’s your money so be polite but stern and clear in your communication because her response to you was very vague compared to others here.

Once you purchase it’s digital but you will need the class code which you will find in D2L

Correct! You get a code in your purchase but that’s to access the online stuff like prepU. Your prof should give you a class code or something once classes start for you to enter somewhere and it’ll have you join your ‘class’ where your prof assigns you stuff!

To get the code for your class but if you purchase now you can setup your account. I didn’t purchase mine until the middle of the first week because we didn’t start doing anything related to the class until the 2nd week.
First week is about syllabus acknowledgment and quiz which you must pass in order for the course to open up, integrity acknowledgment and pre medication quiz which is worth zero points.
Once you pass the syllabus quiz then the course opens up and you can go ahead and plan out when everything is due. Discussions for me were due Thursdays and the replies due Sundays. Miss a discussion or being late and your grade drops big time so stay on stop of everything.
Also utilize quizlet for weekly quizzes because if you fail a quiz your get zero for that weeks assignments or discussions.
