Lone Star Spring 2020 ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.

The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.

I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?

If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)

Tomball is closest to me. But CyFair goes through the summer and will start in January. If I wait for Tomball, instead of being done two years from now I will be done three years from now. I’m too old to wait lol

Good question! I was wondering the same thing . Or if you pick kingwood as your first choice and not cry fair do y

Cy fair goes through the summer so that’s the good thing about it, but kingwood is closer to me and have evening and Saturday clinical

I was along those lines too. So do you have any idea as to why so many steer clear of Cy-Fair? Is it the block thing?

Does anyone know what the score is to be accepted? I have a 4.0 GPA and got a 96 on HESI so my score card reads 7.87 out of 8. I think that's a decent score but I'm a nervous wreck waiting for the application to close so I can get some sort of answer. What has everyone made that got in?

Just a little warning to everyone that has submitted their application for Spring 2020. You may want to log in and make sure everything looks good. I logged in over the weekend and all of my required documents were missing. I contacted the department and they said that IT couldn't see my campus selections so my application needed to be resubmitted. If I hadn't checked and resubmitted I wouldn't have been considered for this round.

yes! this happened to me. I emailed the dept to make sure everything was ok on my app. they said i didnt have a location selected and would not be considered. i logged in and everything was gone! i got it all resubmitted today and now im freaking out.

ok i am probably just slow because it is late but what do you mean? like are those the lowest scores accepted so far or just people from this page that go in or what?

We were all just posting our scores that we have just to get an idea of what the completion is . Hesi score and class score average . Calculated together
