Lone Star Kingwood 2010

Published

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a new thread for kingwood/cyfair applicants. This is the moment I have been waiting for for 2 years! :nurse: I will be turning in my application when I return from vacation next week. My score is at 11.489 as of yesterday! I took the Hesi....again....yesterday :D and will be going on vacation Mon. I don't think my score has gone in yet either.

Anyway...I'm hoping that my score will be good enough for this time around. What was everyone elses score? I think the cut off the last couple years has been 11.4.

I have created this thread because I know that this site has been extremely helpful for me! And I want to return the favor for whoever else is applying or working towards applying! Also, in order for us to chat or whatever else while we are waiting soooo long for a letter! :banghead:

If ANYONE has any questions...just ask and I will try the best of my ability to answer it. I know quite a bit about this program, so I'm sure I can help in some way! :heartbeat

I have Wed clinicals too!

Would someone please explain what the CNA exempts you from? How quickly and easily can a CNA be obtained and from where? Cost wise would it be less to get the CNA than take what it exempts you from?

No it's doesn't cost less than taking the two week class which teaches you how to take vitals. It takes min. two weeks to become a CNA and you have to take a certification test I believe. So if you want to work as a CNA then I suggest you go for it but if not then I wouldn't.

CMA44,,,I'm so happy that you're in I don't know if u posted it or not...but when did they call u....Congrats!!!I'm soooo happy...We're all gonna make it! Does anyone want to meet up? Form a study group or something..Oh and Thangbom don't worry, U r for sure getting in be sure 2 post and let us know when u get ur happy letter

They called me a couple of days ago, I couldn't remember my password and just now had a chance to reset it. I'm so excited and can't believe it. It's hard because I just order all of my books and I'm trying to be prepared. Thank you so much!!! At first I was giving up but, my friend and husband encouraged me so much (she's in the LVN) program and she said that if your an alternate and haven't received your call, still show up at orientation because some people didn't show up and they made spots for alternates but, I got the call and it was the best feeling!!! I'm so excited so congrats to all, I wish everyone nothing but the best!!!

well I'm so happy 4 u..I was feeling like that b4, but when I got the call I was sooo happy. I was thanking God over and over and over..Then when I got my letter, I almost fainted lol. Just couldn't believe it. I have wed. clinicals 2. See u soon..Also what side of town do u live on? I wonder how girly26 is doin.. I'm sure she's in 2.
