It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.
I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).
Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!
Since Spring semester is over and most grades have been posted has anyone actually been able to resubmit their application with their new grade? What about the HESI? I'm not going to risk trying to retake it at this point with the deadline being so close but I am definitely curious to hear if they are letting students resubmit...

Good question! I would like to know this as well.

It seems that people have been getting mixed answers to this question. But I have seen people say they have been allowed to resubmit with their new score. I’m so over all the work arounds and just want this application period to close ??♀️ But I think it’s only fair to allow everyone who wants to resubmit to do so if they are allowing some.

I saw earlier in the thread that people were told that they could resubmit with their new letter grade but nobody has said anything on here about actually being able to do it since Spring semester ended. I’ve heard through a friend that North Harris isn’t returning emails to those asking to resubmit. I appreciate everyone being so open and honest about this and recognizing that this isn’t fair to everyone. I think it’s one thing to be able to submit with a HESI score when a student hasn’t been able to take it because of COVID but it’s another to be able to bump a letter grade... I didn’t get that opportunity last application period. I might have already been in the program had that been the case. Not trying to bash those who have been told they could resubmit with their new grade, however, that just doesn’t sit well with a lot of us. It would be nice to know if Lone Star is actually letting this happen, it would prepare the rest of us to anticipate a rejection letter.

That’s very competitive! I think you will get your first choice no problem. I’ve heard amazing things about the nursing program at tomball including wonderful professors. That’s my first choice. A lot of people speak highly of Montgomery as well.

Yes I’ve heard highly of both of them especially Montgomery due to it being around a bunch of medical hospitals clinics. People have gotten jobs plus I think with them being the first to roll out the BSN program it might have some advantages

I kinda want to make Montgomery as my first choice but I live closer to Tomball, so I'm still struggling between these two location.

Awesome score!! I was going to say it probably boils down to which campus is closer to you. Montgomery has fewer seats than tomball so it’s more competitive. If you want a chance at Montgomery I’d probably put it first since if you don’t get in you’ll have Tomball for sure. If you put tomball first then I bet you would be accepted straight away so Montgomery wouldn’t even receive your application. Are you putting a third or fourth choice down on the application? Would you be okay with driving to Montgomery?
I keep hearing that this application is getting soooo competitive so I’m not sure how high of a score you’ll need for Montgomery but your score is super good, you’ll get into one of them!

Thank you! It's a 25 minutes toll to Montgomery from home, so it's not really that far, but TB is only 16 minutes from home. And I heard that both of them are good but TB is more disorganized... So I really don't know how should I choose? I think of putting NH as third choice and that's it, no Cyfair!?

My friend used one; she loved it. She just graduated from the North Harris location.
