It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.
I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).
Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

Unfortunately I am; I didn’t make it through San Jac. I’m kind of glad though because I wasn’t completely satisfied with the education I was getting there. I should’ve been more patient and just went to Lone Star initially.

The point system is strictly a computer based system but they do make sure your documents are good to go. It’s not a known thing but the sooner you turn them in the better chance they’ll correct them. They won’t correct them if you turn it in the day before (or even the week before) the deadline ends. The earlier you get them in the better chance they will correct you if something is off.
That’s good to know ! I was worried if all my paperwork is correct ! I submitted mine in March ! So I think I would hear something right ?

I did Lvn in 2016 in Spring. But I dropped after Spring break . I had a lot of things going on After Spring break things fell all apart . I didn’t believe in myself and I felt like I couldn’t bring my grade up. I got out got depressed, took me the rest of the year to recover from that because I felt like I let myself down

I’m sorry to hear that! Don’t worry I’m repeating as well
Yes they let you know what’s accepted and what’s not , once you receive a contingent offer, but that’s through castle branch . I went through the process for the Spring semester . You have until the deadline to get it right, but be careful with getting specifics for the flu shot . But wait until you get accepted and it’s time to take those to get that done .

Gotcha, thank you so much! I'm planning on submitting everything towards mid/end of June, which is shortly after they open up applications.
I'll keep what you said in mind! Thank you
I hope everyone does well on their finals!! It’s bittersweet for me because medical Microbiology was the only thing keeping me distracted from the nursing program.. here’s to the next few weeks of stressing! ?
I can’t wait to hear back the program & to hopefully meet everyone at orientation (wishful thinking here LOL) Good luck to everyone.
WOW!!, I appreciate those of you who have disclosed your previous nursing school experiences. I went to TWU a decade ago for my BSN, and didn’t make it through my last semester. I literally had nightmares about the nursing director. I was lambasted in front of my peers and patients for almost two years, just to fail out with one test, HER test, right at the end. I didn’t pinch her nails for capillary refill. She made me an example for the incoming class, while I was still standing there. I was so torn up about it, and felt so personally attacked by this woman, that I chose not to remediate. I needed therapy.. but that would make too much sense, right? I felt like such a failure, so much so that I wouldn’t face anyone I had previously boasted to about how I just LOVED my nursing school. I’m still paying off those student loans.. I’d like to say I’ve let my resentment go, but maybe I’ll keep it as some fuel for this next go-round.
In time, I did get my spirit back. I went a completely different direction, and have worked in the wine industry for the last 8 years. It’s been great, but the other side of my brain is tugging, so here I am, at 32, going back to nursing school. Gotta stay thirsty, right?
Cheers, y’all.
