It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.
I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).
Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

If you haven’t had the series or if the titer is negative then yes, there is an “accelerated series” that takes 2 months. The CDC recommends the 6 month process, however, if you’re crunched for time the 2 month series works just as well.
My titer came back negative the first time and my doctor gave me an accelerated boost that a few other nursing students received and it made me immune for the next titer.
I would definitely call and ask your doc tho, that’s so important since the nursing department really only cares about the positive titers. If you’ve already had them and you’re immune there’s no sense in getting poked some more.
I have been researching, the other schools I am applying to accept the heplisav-B. By chance, do you know if Lonestar will accept this one? Or, if I get this one and test positive, should that suffice? Thank you again, so much!

I don’t think it matters which vaccine you get as long as it’s strictly for Hep B. The Lone Star website would have specified if they wanted a specific brand of vaccine.
