Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN Applicants

I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!

As of this morning, I still haven't received a letter. SIGH! Although, my gut tells me I shouldn't worry, I do! Maybe today is the day.....

Believe! I know that sometimes one must see "it" to believe, it referring to the letter, but just know in your mind that with your score being higher than mine and me being accepted to my first choice school, you will be as well! Have faith so that you may relax and not be so anxiously worried. I hope that patience may be your virture for today and until you receive that stinking letter in your hands. I empathize with you in your situation as I was there until yesterday. I hope you can find peace in your mind today as you read and rationalize this situation! I understand it is hard but I hope some weight may be lifted off your shoulders as we have come together to share this blog about our progresses. You will get your letter soon and we both know you have been accepted. :-D

Ah Kalisefer - such kind and encouraging words from you. I am VERY EXCITED for YOU! I let out a "YES" when I saw your posting. Yesterday was ok for me, as I was taking my kids to the doctor and dentist all day, so I needed that distraction. I'm sure it will come and have my mother-in-law watching (stalking) the mailperson while I'm at work. LOL! Trying to keep it light as the alternative would just be devestating.

@ megablack - Well, I guess it's you and I still waiting on good ole NH for our letters.

I live a ways out so I was expecting a delay in receiving my letter but geesh, this is pure craziness.

Congratulations to all of you who have recently been accepted to the program! I just found your page and myself applied for this Spring. I have not recieved my letter and am also anioxusly awaiting the mail delivery! I did however recieve a email from the nursing department this morning stating they mailed letters on the 10th of April and if I did not recieve mine by April 23rd to contact them. Any ideas? Hopefilly this is good news

Cy Fair was my first choice and who I recieved the email from. I listed all. My overall scoresheet reflected a 11.65

Looking over all the posts, it looks as if NH and CF are really dragging their collective feet, so for all you who have applied to either, stay positive! Also, I have a friend at TB who went the LVN route in January, and she said that there was some level of disorganisation going on when they were waiting for their letters, so don't give up!

Great point KnightGal, as I'm a NH hopeful. Beginning to question if I should've put Montgomery as first choice. LOL
