Today is the deadline and as of 12:00PM there are no apps being accepted, so they say :chuckle

Okay for all of us that are waiting, this is our official I'm waiting :no:, checking the mail daily :imbar, going crazy :banghead:, biting my nails :D, at the edge of my seat :coollook:, can hardly concentrate on anything else :typing, Kingwood and Cyfair Spring 2009 awaiting thread:yeah:We still have a while to go before letters are going to be sent out but let's keep each other encouraged and cross our fingers for everyone that applies! :up:

So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair? :bow:

I received my letter saturday..It was postmarked on oct 24th...

I live in the conroe area...

I'm trying not to stress. I talked to the director at Kingwood and she

said they have only sent denial letters out. Acceptance and alternates

won't be going out until late this week or early next week. I'm holding on with you guys!

I have a question???

When I applied to Kingwood, on my online application I chose Kingwood as my first choice and Cyfair as my second choice..

My question is...How does that work exactly..I only turned in my app and score sheet to Kinwood..Should I have taken it to cyfair as well to be considered for their program..

I have not received a denial letter from them yet only Kingwood..

I would appreciate any info that yall may have to help me...

If I was supposed to turn in a sign app to cyfair as well then it doesnt matter I'm not in the running to begin with..

Hey Txmommy-

From what I have read, you turn in your app to your first choice but both of your choices consider you. I have read on here either from the Spring 06 or Spring 07 that someone received a denial letter from both Kingwood and Cyfair so maybe you're still in the running. Cy-fair has not answered their phone any of the times that I have called, maybe you can try to e-mail them and see if someone responds. I'm crossing my fingers for you and all of us because we are still not guaranteed spots either. Good luck everyone :up:, and hugs Txmommy :heartbeat

I practically stalked the mail man today but nothing came in of course lol! I will just assume that no news is good news and we will see what happens! Perhaps by the end of this week we will hear something...I sure hope so lol!

I talked to the secretary at Kingwood today and she said that all letters will go out by Friday. I'm betting on hearing something on Monday since I'm so far from Kingwood but Saturday would be even nicer :chuckle

EEK! I'm getting so nervous! I have built this up so much that if I don't even get in as an alternate, I will be crushed lol...but we gotta stay positive and whenever I get anything in that mail, I will let everyone know!

I just read in the Pre-nursing forum from a student that applied to both Kingwood as their first choice and Cy-fair as their second and got an acceptance letter today from Cy-fair. I'm ecstatic for her/him because it proves that they are mailing out letters but kind of bummed because it seems Kingwood is going to be the one to mail their letters last.. Have you guys checked your mail today?

I don't know if I am of much help, but when I applied a couple years back to Cy Fair and Kingwood, I was sent a denial letter from my first choice only. I did not receive anything from Kingwood. I was a class short, so I knew I wasn't getting in. I did get in the next application period at Cy Fair, and I actually graduate this December :yeah:!!!! Just keep trying!

I haven't recieved anything yet. Last night after pharm class, 3 of were talking about this in the hall way and our instructor overheard us and told us that they would have everything mailed out by friday and if you hadn't gotten a rejection letter yet than that's a very good sign. All alternates were let in last year and it was mentioned that they really do try to get the alternates in. Hope this helps.

Thanks Rj. That helps me... but I'm still doing this :bugeyes: Hopefully by the weekend! Thinking happy thoughts. The funny thing is I think almost all of us applied to Kingwood :lol2: as first choice!
