Today is the deadline and as of 12:00PM there are no apps being accepted, so they say :chuckle

Okay for all of us that are waiting, this is our official I'm waiting :no:, checking the mail daily :imbar, going crazy :banghead:, biting my nails :D, at the edge of my seat :coollook:, can hardly concentrate on anything else :typing, Kingwood and Cyfair Spring 2009 awaiting thread:yeah:We still have a while to go before letters are going to be sent out but let's keep each other encouraged and cross our fingers for everyone that applies! :up:

So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair? :bow:

I third that. I didn't do so hot on the first exam but will chug along... I didn't finish all my reading so that's my mistake, guess what I'm doing right now. I will not be behind :lol2: next time. My first clinical is on Saturday also. Scared but happy! :icon_roll

Luckly, i switched jobs and will start being able to stay on top of the reading. I had a question and thought someone on here could clarify. Rachael Weaver said in an email she sent out saying that we are not having our assessment quiz over Role Of The Nurse this week that it would be next week after lab, is this still true? I'm guessing we should be familiar with chapter 16, 33, chap. 5, 6, and 2 pages in chapter 7... has anyone else been wondering/ know about this. I believe it's going to be this week coming up...but other students in my class said no that this information would be covered on the second exam, but i find that to be unbelievable. Could someone plllllllllllllease clarify?

I understood that our lab quiz is on line - module 1 (I haven't been able to acces it yet, it's locked or somethin)and our next lecture test is the week of 2/8 and it'll be over assessment and pschyosocial or whatever is indicated on the calender, I don't have it in front of me right now.

I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time

Please Help..I retook the HESI today and did worse than I did the first time. I need to know if they will use my better scores from the previous time before..I'm so upset because I didn't initially want to retake it at all.Please help with any info. The nursing dept was already closed.

I'm pretty sure you can only take the HESI once during each application period, so they will use the score that corresponds with this application period.

It's been a while since I last posted. Just wanted to say hello to you all and to see how you all were liking your 1st semester of nursing school!! I know many of you may be overwhelmed but trust me now is the time to best figure out your learning style, prioritization and organization skills. I would love to tell you that it gets easier but it doesn't. 2nd semester was the hardest for me because of the hurricane, we were a week behind and were playing catch up on our test. The amount of reading was impossible to read AND digest in a week and a half then move on to another subject!! I barely passed but I did and I am finding 3rd semester a bit easier but still very time consuming. So, hang in there...you all will prevail!!!

Hi there! I was reading all the posts in here and was curious about something. I am working on applying for Spring 2010 at Cy-Fair and was wondering if you all that got accepted for Spring 2009 could tell me what your points were? I'm looking at probably having 11.5 and am hoping that will be enough.

I'm in 3rd at Kingwood. We did one research paper last semester on anything we wanted. This semester we have a group project due with an abstract.
