Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!
I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol
How about yall?!
My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!
And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!
Good luck you guys!-current lonestar nursing student
Hmm jasmpena... thanks.. can you help with my question ... besides the start date of June for the program does not work well for me. I prefer the August start for the ADN. How does the admission works based on preference? Does one gets considered only for the 1st choice school or for all the schools
I got into CyFair's LVN program as well!! I'm super nervous too because I really wanted to pursue my ADN at North Harris. I pray to God they are able to get letters out before the 19th!!
I believe any school you submitted a paper application to will send you a notification letter as to what their decision was.
From what I heard from the advisor when I went to the nursing information session if you don't accept the lvn position on time bc you are wanting to wait for the adn then you forfeit the lvn position. I'm pretty sure she mentioned something about being able to drop it if you find out we were accepted for the adn program as well. But hopefully they do let the adn applicants know by the deadline. And as far as the first, second and so on choices go...if you don't get into your first choice they will just go down the list until you fit on somewhere

Thanks a lot for the clarification; you made my day
The application pool is high this year cos HCC isn't accepting applications, so I'll advice those with less than 7.00 on their ADN application to accept the LVN admission as a backup so they don't forfeit their spot. You can drop it if you get accepted for the ADN program. For those with above 7.00, keep your fingers crossed cos this year's application is very competitive. Let the waiting continue...
