Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!
I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol

My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!
And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!
Hey everyone! So, I just spoke with the Interim Department Director at North Harris. She stated that they are in the process of sending out notification letters for the Transition program; once those are completed, then they'll start working on Basic.
She wouldn't say it outright if they've received applications back from the System Office, but I have the feeling that they have. Hopefully, we'll all hear something next week.
I'm trying my hardest not to lose my sanity over this!! I don't think the fine folks who are processing our apps really understand what kind of limbo we're in right now.
I won't speak for everyone, but I've been waiting for the moment where I could apply for the past FIVE years!! The struggle has been beyond real. Getting into and passing this program is one my life's goal and I'm so ready to be the nurse I know that God destined me to be.

JocieG87, girl trust me you are not alone!!! I was attending another community college in Louisiana and I couldn't even apply to the program because my cumulative GPA from a previous school was horrible, even though my nursing prereqs were well over 3.5GPA. When we moved here I darn near burst into tears when the advisor said I was able to apply. That alone made me so happy. Now, I feel like I'm one step closer to accomplishing another goal (actually getting accepted) Even tho I was accepted to LVN program the ultimate goal is RN so I'm def counting my blessings here but this wait is just ugh....... now we have to go the entire weekend not knowing lol
I know North Harris accepts over 100 students so I'm sure they need a while to process everything but I just don't know what to do with myself lol
I'm really glad I found this forum because I would be even more anxious without it!!! We all will get in. I just know it. [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]
Sokrys, I'm so glad somebody understands what I'm going through!!
I can only imagine how difficult that was with your situation in Louisiana. God definitely has a way of working things out, especially when it's your purpose in life.
This forum is what really keeps me from going insane, so I understand how you feel. Just wait a little longer for the good news people. We shall win!!!
