Hey there!
I wanted to start this page for anyone who is applying for the Spring 2018 Lone Star ADN or LVN program! I've seen previous posts, from previous years, and everyone was really helpful and encouraging to one another.
I am taking A&P 1 over the summer (starts 7/13) and then I will be submitting my application!! Im so nervous. I already took the HESI and got a score on 90.8%, which gives me and 3.6 on the point scale. I have an A in Eng 1301 and hope to get an A in A&P this summer.
In the fall I am taking A&P2 along with Micro (ugh). So if anyone else is in the same boat, let me know!!!
Anyway, I look forward to hearing from everyone
So guys, tell me why I retook AP II and still ended up with a C. I give up, I can't keep doing this to myself! I've taken 7 classes this semester because I'm concurrently enrolled in a BS in Health program and ended up with 2 A's, 2 B's , 2 C's, and a D! I refuse to take AP II again; however, I will have to retake micro lab because a D won't transfer
Word of advice; never take micro lecture/lab, AP II, pharmacology, and other miscellaneous classes in the summer time!
@futureRNMelanie take a&p with Professor Galvan at the Tomball campus. She is amazing. you won't regret it. Who did you take for Micro?
I took micro at HCC, they split the science courses in tow different courses; lecture and lab. Lecture I got a B and lab I got a D. So I only need to retake the lab at this point so I'll have to take at HCC again!
That stinks I would recommend taking a&p by itself I took Desoigne at kingwood he was great and offers lots of extra credit if he sees you are trying.
I don't want to keep taking AP, I'd rather take try to get in with my C. I have an A in English and a B in AP I so I should be ok as far as my gpa calculation. However, I only scored an 83% on the Hesi A2 after taking it quite a few times. My score is currently 6.8; I'm considering taking the Hesi one more time to raise my score! What do you guys think?
