Hey there!
I wanted to start this page for anyone who is applying for the Spring 2018 Lone Star ADN or LVN program! I've seen previous posts, from previous years, and everyone was really helpful and encouraging to one another.
I am taking A&P 1 over the summer (starts 7/13) and then I will be submitting my application!! Im so nervous. I already took the HESI and got a score on 90.8%, which gives me and 3.6 on the point scale. I have an A in Eng 1301 and hope to get an A in A&P this summer.
In the fall I am taking A&P2 along with Micro (ugh). So if anyone else is in the same boat, let me know!!!
Anyway, I look forward to hearing from everyone
Has anyone taken A&P 1 as a hybrid class? Ive taken this class before, just need to retake it to get an A, i've never taken a hybrid class before so just wanted to hear other students opinion on it. Taking it at the Greenspoint location with professor Jacqueline Mccray
Hey there! I took A&P II hybrid with Royster @ the cypress center, she is beyond great!!
I had an amazing study group from A&PI, we took the class together. From my experience with those 2 Prof.Royster and my study group I earned an 'A.'
Hope this helps! Good luck
Good evening all! I'm wondering of your opinion of also applying for LVN program as well as ADN?? I'm weary... to say the least. I want to go straight into ADN, but I hate to be denied and have to wait to start any time of program. This Chic isnt getting any younger! ROFL!!!
All straightforward answers welcome.
Also anyone taking Microbiology this coming Fall??
I took my hesi today, and failed! I did great on the other 5 sections but failed the a&p with a 64. I'll be taking the hesi again after i study. Does anyone know how the hesi at lonestar goes? One part of the website says you can only take the hesi during application periods, and the other says it is open year round? Confusing...

I think you can take it year round. However, you have to wait 60 days in between test dates; so, you will miss the application deadline for Spring!

I believe they last a good amount of time. I got the 3 series in 2005 when I went for my medical assistant cert. Titer showed immunity so that's good!
