I just applied...again! I didn't get a position last time but I can tell you how the interview process goes for NICU. I interviewed 3x in one day which took about 1.5 hours. They ask behavioral interview questions (tell me about a time you...) so be prepared with a lot of stories.
As for the application process, I didn't have my letters of recommendation scanned into pdf format when I was applying because it changed since last time (You had to email it to them separately). I just called HR and let them know and they were really nice about it. Just had me email the documents to them and had it attached to my application.
Anyway, good luck to everyone!
Unfortunately I can't give you much advice. But had I not been married with a child on the way i would have moved to California just for the opportunity to work at Loma Linda and have the opportunity to meet Sean Bush. Working with envenomations would seriously be my dream job.
I was a unit secretary there for a few years and my first day on the job as my trainer was walking me out the back way, I saw this guy walking a couple feet ahead of us who looked oddly familiar.... So I walked slower & whispered to my trainer.... What's his name? Why does he look familiar? And she said, Oh he's been on TV for Venom ER (which I hadn't seen at that point) and so I said "Wait! Was he on Untold Stories of the ER or one of those ER shows on Discovery or TLC?" And she said probably... I was so excited! He's awesome & I never saw him again
