Loma Linda Nursing Fall 2018

Published

Hello everyone, I am applying to LLU BSN program to start in Fall of 2018. I just wanted to start a forum and see how everyone is doing, and help each other with updates.

I actually got a call from Dora to have my interview. Does every qualifying applicant get an interview or only the potential candidates to be admitted get an interview?

Thank you

Thank you, JulieB!! ... Ok. I guess it prob. be on class day. I'll see you in the fall JulietB! :-) We can be study buddies if you like... Do you plan to live on campus?

I'm sure we'll find out more soon. I just received my actual acceptance letter today and it just made it real. I'm nervous now! Lol. I don't plan to live on campus, I live in Redlands :)

congrats. :-) . Oh. ok. See you in Fall.

Hey girl I am also interested in applying for Winter 2019! Have you submitted your application yet?

Hey everyone! I am interested in applying to Loma Linda for the Winter of 2019 and was hoping you guys could give me some advice regarding the application processes, scores, and basically anything else you guys would like to add would be helpful. @SarahHolly, would you mind if I ask what your GPA and scores were like? This would be really helpful in that I can get an idea of what they will somewhat be looking for score wise considering you have already gained acceptance for the Winter. Thank you all so much in advance! I hope you can help me and others applying for winter out.

Does anybody have any advice for the values essays? I am applying for Winter 2019 and am almost ready to submit my application but I'm second guessing the length of my responses as each response has a 4000 character max.

I just wrote about my experiences, but I wouldnt worry too much about the length. With each one my essay got shorter and shorter til the last one was at hest 2 paragraphs. As long as the quality is good and you answered the questions you should be fine. Be sure to have others read over it.

Hey @nydroj2! Yes I submitted my application already. Hopefully everything goes well for the both of us!

Do you guys have any advice for the critical thinking test? They told me that you can't really study for it so I'm not sure how to prepare.

Hello! Joining in on the conversation to ask a question! On a few other threads about LLU I've read that they calculate Gpa based only on the prerequisite classes they require. Is this true? I found it a little odd as I know most schools go based on overall cumulative Gpa & science Gpa. Thank you in advance!

When they did my interview I was shown my prerequisite gpa and overall gpa. Im not entirely sure which weighs more into your chances of getting accepted, so I would ensure that both are fairly good. Hope this helps!

Hello guys, I got moved from winter to Fall yay. Just to address some of the questions here, the critical thinking, don't stress too much, it's very direct. The company that gives out the test is California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST) / Critical Thinking Skills Tests / Products Summary / Products / Home - Insight Assessment They have an app that you can download to practice. In regards to the essay length, they want quality, not quantity. In regards to the GPA, it is just as Jab22 said. And finally for the TEAS, I did not find the actual ATI Manuel to be useful; it's just a refresher and straight to the point, and I did buy both practice test version A and B from the website, those helped more. The book that I liked the most was a blue one that I bought from Barnes and Noble, which I am selling along with a portable one that I carried everywhere in my purse. If interested I am selling my books, here is the link to them TEAS ATI - books & magazines - by owner - sale
