  1. Hey, hope your interview went well! Honestly, I love the program here at LLU. The professors and clinical instructors always want to help you and most make themselves available outside of class to help out with any questions. They really try to be as helpful as they can and try to get to know all their students. Don't be shy to ask instructors for help because it can only benefit you in the future when you need letters of rec. As Jab22 mentioned the stats vary per quarter but I applied with a GPA of 3.7, TEAS of 86 and critical thinking 20. I have seen a variety of stats get accepted, I believe the interview has a lot to do with this.
  2. Hey! I'm in the program right now but have a friend applying for Winter 2020 as well! For the interview, they really want to get to know you as a person. They already know your stats and your resume history so just elaborate on the interesting things they might not know of you on paper and would set you apart from other applicants. They ask scenario type questions like "tell me of a time you stood up to help someone else, how did you approach the situation?" or "tell me of a time you went out of your way to help someone else." I even got asked questions about what hobbies I liked. They really just want to get to know you and your interviewer advocates for you when committee meets up to discuss applications and who gets into the program so it is very important to make a great impression! Hope that helps a little ?
  3. @bobamilktea Oh no! I know it's hard at first but I'm sure you can get in. You should most definitely reapply and try again! If you really feel like nursing is where your heart is, then you should go for it.
  4. @citric Thank you! I still can't believe it. Same! I think we all somewhat bonded over the anxiety of waiting for a response haha. So thankful I was able to get accepted and at the same time sort of meet some of the people I'll be starting the program with
  5. @trishalee96 I know how you feel haha I was literally checking my phone every 5 minutes this month but I'm sure you'll be fine. Hope they call/email you tomorrow!
  6. I'm not sure.. maybe it is. I'm pretty sure they will continue to make phone calls tomorrow as well though. My first name starts with an M and last name starts with a J
  7. Hey guys congrats to all of you!! I received a call today and was accepted for winter too! Super excited to start this winter!
  8. I haven't heard anything either.. I hope they call us soon. I'm assuming they will probably start making phone calls tomorrow? Since they had monday and today to organize. They probably had a lot of applicants for this winter.
  9. @trishalee96 Unfortunately no, but we should be hearing back anytime this week or by next week!
  10. That's great! Hopefully they call this week but at least now we know committee already met and that the decision has been made. I hope we are all accepted and that we hear back soon.
  11. I hope so too! It has felt like an eternity waiting for a reply. Hopefully we find out today but I really doubt it.
  12. Same, good or bad I just want to know already but really hoping for good news! Hopefully we can get accepted into the program. I'll update on here if I hear back from them or of anything regarding when we should hear back.
  13. Oh gosh I hope not! This past month has felt like an eternity already haha. I did call LLU last week Monday and they said committee would meet this week and that we should expect calls towards the end of this week or next week. This could have changed because I haven't called since for an update. As for my TEAS I got an 85 but I did retake it since I had a 78 before. I was told to aim for 80 or above, which is why I retook mine, so I think you should be good with an 80 but retaking it wouldn't hurt.
  14. Same here! I have been checking my emails and phone nonstop hoping I'll get some sort of response. I have a feeling we might be hearing back Monday and the rest of that week but until then this will be a long weekend.
  15. Hey everyone! I decided to start a thread for those who applied to the Loma Linda BSN Winter 2019 program. Just thought this could be a great way of keeping each other updated on what goes on. I know we should be hearing back very soon so hopefully we can update each other on here when we hear back! Thanks and good luck to you all!
